Let Mortal Kombat discussion begin!
MKA is great. I love Konquest Mode because it doesn't just stop after the story's done like in MKD (Mortal Kombat: Deception, for those who aren't game-savvy). That and it's cool to fight with guys like Shinnok and Kai who haven't been in many games.

Ok.
Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance (MKDA) : Shang Tsung and Quan Chi (first appeared in MK4) form the Deadly Alliance, kill Liu Kang and Shao Kahn and start resurrecting the invincible army of the Dragon King. Reptile becomes the Dragon King.
Mortal Kombat: Deception (MKD) : Raiden challenges the Deadly Alliance to mortal kombat and the Dragon King, Onaga, returns. Raiden blows himself up, but it doesn't kill him. Onaga steals Quan Chi/Shinnok's amulet and preps to fuse the six Kamidogu into the One Kamidogu and re-merge the realms into his own image. Liu Kang comes back as a zombie.
Mortal Kombat: Armageddon (MKA) Every fighter in MK comes in to fight. Whoever defeats Blaze will gain ultimate power.

Lots of good moves in there. Plus there's KAK and Konquest, so that rules.
