Personal Information
Dossier:
Zumoto was born in Kirigakure No Sato (The Village Hidden In The Mist) into the illustrious Zutakateku clan. The eldest child in a family of three, Zumoto had the best grasp of hand-to-hand fighting. At age 7, during a training exercise, Zumoto's siblings, Li Mei (sister) and Shujinko (brother), and his mother, Usagi, were killed by ninjas from Kumogakure No Sato. Zumoto managed to escape and soon joined the Kirigakure Ninja Academy. He graduated in three years, at the age of 10. For his graduation assignment, he had to fight five of his classmates; he killed all of them. As a genin, Zumoto completed 18 D-Rank and 5 C-Rank missions in one year, 22 D-Rank and 8 C-Rank the following year and 33 D-Rank, 7 C-Rank and 2 B-Rank missions the year after that for a grand total of 73 D-Rank, 20 C-Rank and 2 B-Rank missions. As a member of Kirigakure No Sato, Zumoto started learning water jutsu, including the Mizu Bunshin, Mizu Sunshin and Kirigakure No Jutsu abilities.
At 13, Zumoto was allowed to enter the Chuunin exams in Konahagakure No Sato. In the first exam, Zumoto answered five questions out of ten (identical to the one Ibiki would give years later). Zumoto and his team completed the second exam, a survival race in the Forest Of Death, in two days, 13 hours, 23 minutes and 55 seconds, the fastest team of that exam. In the third exam, Zumoto fought a Sunagakure ninja and won quite easily. One month later, Zumoto not only competed in the Chuunin Exam Tournament, Zumoto won it and was one of three Genin who was promoted to Chuunin. After his competition, Zumoto began learning more advanced jutsu. The main skill was the Suiton · Suiryuudan No Jutsu. Zumoto also began to learn the arts of ice jutsu, spanning the Kori Soushi No Jutsu and Korikaze No Jutsu.
Zumoto continued to improve and grow stronger over the years, doing 33 C-Rank and 10 B-Rank missions a year until at the age of 16 he was made a Jonin. During that time, Zumoto was used as a peacekeeper between Kirigakure and Konahagakure No Sato. At the same time, Zumoto started competing in Vale Tudo (Portugese for "Free Fight" or "Anything Goes") competitions to improve his skills and fight in the open. Around the same time, Zumoto joined the White Lotus Society, a peacekeeping organization of fighting Shaolin monks to further improve his skills. At age 18, the Vale Tudo leauge Zumoto was part of closed because of in-ring deaths, none of which Zumoto caused, and Zumoto decided to leave Kirigakure for Konaha because he wanted to get a fresh start away from the life he used to live and because the Shaolin temple he was a part of was in the Fire Country. Zumoto left with his father's blessings for Konaha. To gain the acceptance and trust of Hokage Yondaime and Konaha, Zumoto assassinated a well-known enemy of Konahagakure No Sato.
After spending a year and a half in Konaha, Zumoto started seeing a Konaha ANBU agent named Mileena. After six months, the two married, both of them at the age of 20. Not long before the wedding, Zumoto quit the White Lotus Society so their agents wouldn't be sent after him for breaking his vow to never marry. After two years of marriage, Zumoto and Mileena welcomed a child, a girl they named Rinkika. Zumoto and Mileena were happy, but that happiness would soon turn tragic. Six months after Rinkika's birth, Mileena was killed on a search-and-destroy mission. Zumoto attended the corpse-burning cermony, but left before the ceremony was over because he couldn't bear to say goodbye to the woman he loved. After that day, he slowed down on his ninja training and became a very over-protective parent, fearing to lose Rinkika in the same way he lost Mileena.
Since then, Zumoto has grown as a ninja and as a father. Rumored to be as powerful as any of the three legendary Sannin (Tsunade, Jiraiya and Orochimaru), Zumoto is listed as an S-Rank Jonin of Konahagakure No Sato. At age 30, Zumoto took part of the Mortal Kombat tournament, a once-a-generation tournament of the greatest fighters in the world. Invited by Shang Tsung, Zumoto was also paid 5,000,000 Ryou (roughly $500,000 American) by a rival of Tsung's named Quan Chi to assassinate the tournament head. Zumoto defeated his opponents umercifully. Zumoto's first opponent was a Kumogakure ninja nicknamed Scorpion, a descendant of the ninjas who killed Zumoto's family. Zumoto won by twisting Scorpion's head around, snapping his neck. His next opponent was his former superior in the White Lotus Society, Liu Kang. Zumoto beat him by ripping off his head. His final opponent was Goro, the prince of the Shokan, a race of four-armed half-dragons. Zumoto slashed off all four of Goro's arms and made him bleed to death. After the fight, Zumoto was challenged by Shang Tsung to mortal kombat. Shang Tsung's shapeshifting threw Zumoto off his guard, but Zumoto held his own and ripped off Tsung's left leg and beat him to death with it.
Now in his mid-thirties, Zumoto is still one of the strongest ninja in Konahagakure No Sato, possibly in the world.

Zumoto is a highly over-protective parent, and doesn't like being away from his daughter or being out of the loop with her.

Hand-To-Hand Fighting Styles/Taijutsu Styles:
Unlike the rest of the Zutakateku clan, Zumoto has mastered ten martial arts style, more than three times the required number stipulated by the Triad Style of the clan's tradition. These styles are:
- Choy Lee Fut
Choy Lee Fut is a characterized as a "soft-hard", "external" style. The curriculum was designed so that anti-Qing rebels could quickly gain practical proficiency and also incorporates a wide range of weapons. Several common movements have specific sounds associated with them—for example, "yik" when throwing punches "Wah" was used when using a Tiger Claw and "dik" when kicking—supposedly so that friendly forces could recognize each other in battle and to force the practitioner to coordinate his breathing patterns with his movements. - Goju Ryu
Goju Ryu (Japanese for "Hard-soft style") is a style of karate, so called as it allows a combination of hard and soft techniques. It is commonly believed that the concept of combining the two extremes originated in a Chinese martial arts doctrine known as Wu Pei Chih. The development of Goju Ryu goes back to Kanryo Higashionna, a native of Naha, Okinawa. As a teenager he trained with an Okinawan master named Aragaki Seisho, before moving to Fujian Province, China, to study kung fu. Higashionna returned to Okinawa during the middle of the Meiji Era and continued in the family business of selling firewood, while teaching a new school of martial arts, distinguished by its integration of go-no (hard) and ju-no (soft) kempo in one system. The word karate (empty hand) was not in common use at that time, and Higashionna's style was known as Naha-te. It is accepted that Chinese Nanpa Shorin-ken was the strain of kung fu that influenced this style. As such, this style and that of Uechi Ryu were built upon a similar foundation. Higashionna's most prominent student was Miyagi Chojun who began training under Higashionna at the age of 12. After Higashionna's death Miyagi sailed to China and studied there for several years, returning to Naha in 1918. Many of Higashionna's students continued to train with him, including Higa Seiko. The naming of Goju-Ryu came about more by accident than design. In 1930, numerous martial arts masters asked Chojun Miyagi’s top student, Jin’an Shinzato, while in Tokyo as to what school of martial arts he practiced. As Naha-Te had no formal name he came up with the impromptu name Hanko Ryu (Half Hard Style). On his return to Okinawa he reported this incident to Chojun Miyagi. After much consideration Chojun Miyagi decided on the name Goju-Ryu (hard and soft school) as a name for his style. This name he took from a line in the Bubishi (a classical Chinese text on martial arts and other subjects). This line, which appears in a poem, the Hakku Kenpo (roughly, "The eight laws of the fist"), describing the eight precepts of the martial arts, reads, “Ho wa Goju wa Donto su” (the way of inhaling and exhaling is hardness and softness, or everything in the universe inhales soft and exhales hard). 'Go' means hardness or external force, 'ju' means softness or internal force. Goju-ryu combines hard striking attacks like kicks and punches with softer circular techniques for blocking and controlling the opponent. Goju-ryu's specialty is in-fighting or close-quarter combat. Major emphasis is given to breathing correctly. - Hapkido
Hapkido is a dynamic and somewhat eclectic Korean martial art. In the Korean language, Hap means "harmony", "coordinated", or "joining"; Ki describes internal energy, spirit, strength, or power; and Do means "way" or "art". Thus, Hapkido translates literally as "joining-energy-way", but it is most often rendered as or "the way of coordinated power." - Jeet Kune Do
Jeet Kune Do (JKD) is the name Bruce Lee gave to his combat philosophy in 1967. Originally, when Lee first began research into fighting styles, he gave his martial art his own name of Jun Fan Gung Fu. JKD as it survives today – if one wants to view it "refined" as a product, not a process – is what was left at the time of Bruce Lee's death. It is the result of the life-long martial arts development process Lee went through. Bruce Lee stated that his concept is not an "adding to" of more and more things on top of each other to form a system, but rather, a winnowing out. The metaphor Lee borrowed from Chan Buddhism was of constantly filling a cup with water, and then emptying it, used for describing Lee's philosophy of "casting off what is useless". He also used the sculptor's mentality of beginning with a lump of clay and hacking away at the "unessentials"; the end result was what he considered to be the bare combat essentials, or Jeet Kune Do. - Monkey
Monkey Kung Fu is a Chinese martial art where the movements imitate monkeys or apes in fighting. Systems of monkey kung fu like Tai Shing Pek Kwar were invented by Kau Sze during the Qing dynasty. Many other, older styles of monkey kung fu exist as well, some recorded to be as old as the Song dynasty. This style includes many difficult acrobatic movements and techniques executed while tumbling along the ground or prone. Monkey has terrific defense, and is considered by many to have the best defense of any shaolin kung fu style. The staff features prominently in its weapons training. The method uses agile, jerky movements that are both confusing and fun to watch. A famous version of monkey style is the Drunken Monkey; it is exactly what it sounds like, the practitioner acts like an intoxicated monkey. - Ninjutsu
Ninjutsu, as a fighting style, is a collection of techniques originally practiced for espionage purposes. It includes methods of gathering information, non-detection, avoidance, and misdirection techniques. Ninjutsu can also involve training in disguise, escape, concealment, archery, medicine, and explosives. Practitioners of ninjutsu have been seen as assassins for hire, and have been associated in the public imagination with other activities which are considered criminal by modern standards. Even though it was influenced by Chinese spying techniques and the strategic principles of Sun Tzu, ninjutsu is believed by its adherents to be of Japanese origin. One version is that the basis of ninjutsu was taught to a Japanese household who fled to the mountains after losing a battle. There they mixed with a varied lot of people including the descendants of refugees who had fled China. Later, the skills were developed over 300 years to create ninjutsu - Shotokan
Shotokan, literally, the house of pine waves, is a school of karate, developed from various martial arts by master Funakoshi Gichin and his son Yonutsaka. Funakoshi was the man who 'officially' brought karate from Okinawa to mainland Japan, although Kenwa Mabuni, Motobu Choki and other Okinawans were actively teaching karate in Japan prior to this point. "Shoto" was the pen name Funakoshi used in his poetry, which means "pine waves", while "kan" means house. Hence "Shotokan" was the name of the hall where he trained his students. - Silat
Pencak Silat or Silat ("fighting by using techniques of self-defense") is a Southeast Asian/Indonesian martial art with roots in the culture of the Malay World. This art is widely known in Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, and Singapore but can also be found in varying degrees among the Malay-affiliated countries of Thailand and the Philippines. The art has also reached Europe, and is especially popular in the Netherlands, where it is as popular as karate is in the United States. It is estimated that there are hundreds of aliran (styles) and thousands of schools. Many of the aliran find their origin in the observation of wild animals fighting. "Harimau" (Tiger) and "Helang" (Eagle) are some examples. - Stav
Stav is a martial art and philosophical system which uses runes and Norse Mythology in its teaching. Stav was brought to the public by Ivar Hafskjold, who claims it is based on oral tradition preserved in his family for 44 generations. The name comes from the expression sätta stav (to set stave), which was how the training was referred to when he grew up. Stav emphasizes a set of principles, instead of techniques. - Vale Tudo
Vale Tudo (Portuguese for "Anything Goes") describes competitions in unarmed combat having minimal rules, especially up until the modern day mixed martial arts competitions. It is sometimes also considered a combat sport and style of fighting in itself. The term Vale Tudo comes from the name of a television show that aired in Brazil starting in the 1960's. The show was a telecast of style-versus-style fights hosted by Hélio Gracie, which later changed into a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament followed by the victor fighting an invited opponent of another style in a Vale Tudo bout.
In addition to this, Zumoto also has the following weapon fighting styles for a grand total of 12 styles:
- Bata
Bata, or Irish stickfighting, is a traditional martial art of Ireland often associated with hurling gangs and faction fighters. The stick, or "bata", is a specific weapon called a shillelagh ("sail-eille") - "bata" is a general term which can mean any kind of stick and calling stick-fighting "bata" is a modern practice used for general clarity. Uisce Beatha Bata Rince means whiskey stick dance and refers to a specific style of Bata, where the stick is often held in two hands. - Battojutsu
Battojutsu is a sword-based Japanese martial art. Generally, schools which style themselves "battojutsu ryu" emphasize the perfection of Tameshigiri cutting technique, as opposed to iaido ryu which tend to focus on drawing/sheathing, or kenjutsu ryu which stress dueling ability. "Battojutsu" or "iaijutsu" can also refer to the concept of drawing and striking in a single motion. Batto/iaijutsu techniques often involve drawing the saya back and the sword forward, allowing the wielder to begin and complete the cut faster than would otherwise be possible, generally half to three quarters of a second.
Ninjutsu Abilities:
In addition to the default ninja abilities, these are Zumoto's special jutsus:
- Kage Bunshin No Jutsu (Shadow Clone Skill) - Unlike the regular bunshin no jutsu, the Kage Bunshin creates real clones, not just illusions. The power and chakra of the user is evenly distributed among the clones depending how many there are. This makes it impossible to decipher which is the real body. This clone can also attack. If this clone recieves a direct hit, it will disappear. This is treated as a forbidden jutsu but many advanced shinobi still know it. It is mainly a jounin level technique.
- Kirigakure No Jutsu (Hidden Mist Skill) - A skill which creates a very dense fog that descreases the surrounding visibility to near zero. It produces an environment perfect for a silent assassin who follows an opponent through sound.
- Mizu Shunshin no Jutsu (Intantaneous Water Body Skill) - A technique which allows the user to transport from one place to another through or as puddles of water.
- Suiton: Takitsubo No Jutsu (Water Release: Waterfall Basin Technique) - This justu is used to create water for Suiton skills.
- Suiton: Suiryudan No Jutsu (Water Release: Water Dragon Blast Skill) - Creates a large dragon shape formed from a large amount of spinning water. The dragon form is sent towards your opponent for a powerful attack. This jutsu can only be performed when near a large body of water. Zumoto can use this skill with a minimal water source, such as a puddle.
- Suiton: Mizu No Muchi (Water Release: Whip of Water) - Mizu no Muchi is a ninjutsu technique that utilizes water to create a whip. The ninja can also send an electric current through the whip to electrocute their opponent. The whip will function in the normal fashion, such as allowing the ninja to whip the crap out of little kids who misbehave. That and it's pretty fun to feel like Indiana Jones if he were a ninja.
- Suiton: Daibakufu No Jutsu (Water Release: Grand Waterfall Skill) - This is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Water Element. After doing the needed hand seals a column of water will circle the ninja and then a large force of water will erupt to hit the attacker. Due to the force of the water the target will be fully enveloped by the water and at its mercy as is pulls them away.
- Hyouton: Tsubame Fubuki (Snow Release: Snow Storm Swallows) - The user will create ice swallows which can be launched at the opponent. As they fly through the air, these deadly birds can hone in on their target.
- Hyouton: Hyourou No Jutsu (Snow Release: Ice Prison Skill) - This is a Ninjutsu technique that reflects the ice element. After forming the needed handseals, the user will touch the ground, causing columns of ice to rise up at the foe. If caught, the ice will rise up around the target and imprison them. This can also be used as a defensive measure, raising the ice to form a shield against incoming attacks.
- Hyouton: Buriza-Do No Jutsu (Snow Release: Blizzard Skill) - A temperature-control technique, this skill allows for the use of snow release and ice skills in warmer temperatures.
- Koryuudan (Ice Dragon Missile) - A highly powerful ice jutsu that can only be used under certain parameters. During the Suiryuudan, this attack is used to turn the water dragon to ice and strikes the opponent. If the enemy is in the air, the dragon may devour the opponent, sending down its frozen gullet into a wall of spikes, impaling the enemy. The attack seems to be more effective in the cold and less effective in heat. The dragon's rate of movement is considerably slower and more predictable than the Suiryuudan skill, but strikes from this jutsu are more powerful because ice is harder and denser than water.
- Kori Soushi No Jutsu (Ice Blade Skill) - With this jutsu, the user can use this jutsu to form an icy broadsword in his/her hand that does not melt and is instantly repaired if broken. The weapon is much heavier than an ANBU standard-issue katana, but is much more reliable.
- Korikaze No Jutsu (Ice Wind Skill) - The user creates ice along his/her hands, then forces his/her hands towards an opponent, creating a frigid wind blast. There is a possibility that an opponent's over-exposure to this ice jutsu can cause being frozen and freezing of internal organs and freezing of the bloodstream.
- Kori Kunai No Jutsu (Ice Kunai Skill) - With this jutsu, the user can use this to form two frozen kunai (one per hand) that will not melt unless there is a lack of chakra flowing into the weapon. These are just as sharp as regular kunai, but they are approximately two ounces heavier.
Clan-Specific Jutsu:
- Hanto Hitobito No Jutsu (Ninjutsu, "Art Of The Human Hunt") - The user focuses his chakra into a weapon or into his/her hand, then releases it as a projectile at the opponent. When focused into a blunt weapon (such as a club or a hand axe) or into the hand, the projectile has a range of about 10 meters and becomes a blunt strike capable of destroying solid steel. In contrast, focusing into a bladed weapon (such as a sword) will create a cutting edge projectile with a 7-meter range that can cut through most metals. If the projectile goes further than the listed range, the projectile weakens and becomes smaller, slower and easier to dodge.
