ive been going to the support forum and this is what one of the members said:
I would reccomend using a banner with a more traditional size. I would reccomend having a banner that is about 700 x 150. I would make it match the theme of the forum, match the colors, and have the forum's name on it.
After adding the banner, you are going to want to remove the welcome guest/PM text, as well as the 'Home' that will be under the banner. To do so, add this into your global headers:
<script>
document.getElementsByTagName('tr')[1].deleteCell(1);
</script>
<script><!--
document.getElementsByTagName('font')[1].innerHTML='';
//--></script>
Now, you are going to want to make sure the forum width matches the banner width in all resolutions. To do so add this into the global footers:
<script language="JavaScript">
var Table=document.getElementsByTagName("Table")
for(t=0;t<Table.length;t++)
if(Table[t].width=="92%"){Table[t].width="700"}
</script>
You may be astarting off with a few too many boards. I've always found it best to start off small, then expand as you grow according to your members interests. As it is now, it will take forever to get all of those boards active, and there is no guarantee each one will be active, as you don't know what kind of members, and who you will get at your forum. Every inactive board will only make more of the forum as a whole look more inactive.
As members start coming in, notice their interests, notice the things they are talking about. If a subject is getting alot of conversation, maybe it could warrant it's own board, but like I said, it's best to start off with a few, good topics, then expand as your grow according to your members interests.
How Many Boards Should I Have On My Forum?
I would suggest customizing the shoutbox in the header table so it better matches your forum colors.
All in all I feel you have done a nice job here. Good luck.
ed you think you could change the banner size to what this guy suggested and so on?
